HIV Treatment & Overall Health Studies
These particular studies are focused towards individuals who have been diagnosed with HIV, have been on Antiretroviral medication (ART) for at least one year, and who have undetectable viral loads. Some of these studies investigate the effectiveness of new treatment regimens, while others analyze how HIV affects different aspects of a person’s overall health and well-being.
A5332 – Reprieve
| Goal | Determine the effects of a statin as a prevention strategy for major adverse cardiovascular events in HIV positive participants. |
| Who is eligible to participate | Men and women between the ages of 40-75, on Antiretroviral Therapy (ART) for more than 6 months, CD4 greater than 100, and that do not otherwise qualify for treatment with a statin. |
