The UNC Division of Geriatric Medicine will hold this year’s Interdisciplinary Geriatrics Conference May 15, 2024 at the North Carolina Botanical Gardens. It will focus on the 4Ms model of care – Mentation, what Matters, Medications, and Mobility – with a particular focus on the care of hospitalized people with dementia.
Topics include Cognitive impairment, Management of behavioral disturbances, Spirituality, Senior and Caregiver resources, Medication management, Mobility and Advance Care planning.
At this year’s geriatrics conference, there will also be a poster session which is a great opportunity for people who are presenting at other national conferences to share their work locally. All posters focused on the care of older adults are welcome. There will not be a formal selection process and posters do not have to focus on the 4Ms or care of hospitalized people with dementia.
