Match Day arrived after an exciting interview season in which 35 outstanding candidates from 20 different states were selected to interview with our program from over 200 applicants. The Department of Medicine Physician Scientist Training Program was successful in our recruitment efforts and we are pleased to announce two new trainees matched into our program and will begin their internships in Internal Medicine in June of 2023. Manasi Malik, who is completing her MD/PhD degrees at Washington University in St. Louis, plans to pursue training in endocrinology and Abbie Zewdu, who is completing her MD/PhD degrees at Ohio State University, intends to pursue training in hematology or oncology.
