David Weber, MD, MPH, professor of medicine in the division of infectious diseases and medical director of UNC Hospitals’ Department of Hospital Epidemiology, comments on a new study that finds the ability of the novel coronavirus (also known as SARS-CoV-2) to stay in the air and on surfaces is highly similar to that of SARS, which is also caused by a coronavirus.  Weber says the results of the study–conducted by the NIH, CDC, UCLA and Princeton University–are not surprising, and are important because they shed further light on how SARS-CoV-2 behaves.  Learn more in Buzz Feed News.
