Adam grew up in Lexington, Kentucky and attended Tulane for college where he majored in Public Health with a BSPH degree. As an undergraduate student, he worked to found the Tulane University Service-Dog Training Program, work which he continued into medical school. After graduating from college, he worked in New Orleans as a pedicab (bike taxi) driver before beginning medical school at Tulane. Adam has been dedicated to caring for Spanish speaking patients and was an active volunteer with Luke’s House Clinic – a student-run volunteer clinic for low-income, Spanish speaking individuals in New Orleans. His current interests including Infectious Diseases, global and public health, and health literacy and inequities. Adam continues to enjoy competitive soccer, backpacking, cycling, Mardi Gras costume design, and many recreational sports.
