About

Amal grew up in New Jersey and attended the University of Pennsylvania where she majored in the biological basis of behaviors.  After college, she worked as a research assistant and helped to validate a calculator used to predict the likelihood of c-sections at a maternal child health center. As a medical student, she has been actively involved as representative for the block courses and as a fourth-year liaison and advocacy director for the student clinic. In her free time, Amal enjoys poetry, acoustic guitar, and the peloton!
