Ariel Jimenez, MD
About
Ariel grew up in Florida after coming to the United States from Chile as a young child. He graduated from USF with degrees in cell and molecular biology and worked for a year as an Optometry technician before coming to Georgetown for medical school. Ariel has been actively involved in service and leadership as a medical student, serving as a student mentor for struggling junior medical students, as well as teaching for the SHAPE summer mentorship program and volunteering as a Spanish interpreter for the Catholic Charities clinic. Ariel has also actively pursued research and has been involved with projects ranging from exploring pathways to homelessness to GI focused research involving colon cancer screening and the risk of aspiration for patients on GLP-1 agonists during EGDs. Outside of medicine, Ariel enjoys film and music (piano).
