About

Austin grew up in Southern Pines, NC and attended UNC for college where he graduated with a degree in biology.  After college, he joined the UNC Kidney Center lab as a full-time research assistant.  During this time, he also obtained an MA in Physiology from NCSU and worked part-time as a CNA at the Emergency Department of Duke Regional Hospital. Austin rotated at UNC as an AI on our Med B service, and we are thrilled to have him return to UNC!
