Courtney attended Spelman College, where she majored in Spanish and studied abroad in Germany and in Spain. After college, she taught literacy skills to elementary school students in Washington, D.C. and later spent a summer working as a receptionist in Argentina. She attended the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California where she was involved in the primary care program, research, and community service. She is excited to incorporate her love of languages into her medical practice. Her interests include playing various sports, walks, music, and dance. She is happy to be in North Carolina to complete her residency at UNC!
