Grace is from Oklahoma originally and attended Oklahoma State University where she majored in biochemistry. Her work as an EMT was not only formative but solidified her interest in medicine as well as her commitment to caring for all patients in a humane and patient centered manner. Grace has been actively involved in service and volunteerism, working as the Vice Chair of Operations for the Unity clinic that provides free, interdisciplinary care to patients. She has also served as a patient companion for the Children’s Health Center, worked on the admissions committee, and served on the school’s alumni group. In recognition of her outstanding commitment to patient care, Grace was selected by her peers for induction into the Gold Humanism Honor Society.
