Gretter was born in Cuba, and grew up in Miami FL. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Florida with a degree in Behavioral and Cognitive Neuroscience. The story of her journey to the United States from Cuba as a young child is incredible! Growing up bilingual, she created a Spanish language curriculum at her home institution to help care for the rising Latinx population, and working with patients with eating disorders. She also started a book club and was named student of the year in a peer election. She and her husband have already surveyed the local Durham food scene!

Greeter enjoys reading, skincare, walks and playing with her dog, cooking new meals, and watching international films
