Jeffrey is from Miami and attended the University of Florida for both undergraduate studies and medical school.  Prior to medical school, he worked as a Research Assistant with the University of Florida Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases focused on studies involving patients with familial ALS.  Jeffrey has an interest in research and Cardiology and has been productive in this work as part of the Discovery Research Pathway at the University of Florida. His interest in global health has led him to Peru and Haiti. Jeffrey couples matched with his fiancée, Sonja, who will begin her residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at UNC as well!  In his free time, Jeffrey enjoys long distance running, tennis, basketball, cooking, and hiking with his dog Charlie.
