About

Joseph joins us from Columbia University but has roots in North Carolina. 

Joe chose UNC for its academic and clinical rigor and its genuine warmth, as well as its deep commitment to serving the whole community across North Carolina and beyond. He feels grateful to be training at this collegial institution that shares his emphasis on global public health and his passion for education and mentorship. 

Joseph finds joy in the social experience of music and has led groups performing jazz, gospel, punk rock, and musical theater. He enjoys the outdoors and music improvisation and composition, especially on the piano. In medical school, he was the musical director for the Bard Hall Players, where his final task was taking on a production of Legally Blonde. Joe will most likely be recruited for the Cool Ridings crew.
