Manasi Malik, MD, PhD
About
Manasi is from Massachusetts and went to the University of Kentucky where she majored in Biology. She was then accepted into the MD/PhD program at the Washington University in St. Louis school of medicine. Her PhD work focused on identifying the genetic variants in the oxytocin receptor on oxytocin response. Her additional clinical research work involved the use of an electronic nanomaterial sensor array (eNose) to detect volatile organic compounds in breath samples from patients with metabolic diseases. She has additional experience in the genetics of Alzheimer disease and served as a reviewer for Gerontology and worked as a coordinator for the Saturday student clinic. Manasi is planning n pursuing fellowship training in Endocrinology via the ABIM research pathway after residency. In her spare time, Manasi enjoys hiking, singing, and karaoke.
