About

Merete grew up in Arlington, Virginia and attended William and Mary for college where she majored in Neurosciences and also obtained a Minor in classical studies. After college, she worked for a year as a scribe in the Emergency Department in Arlington before coming to medical school.  As a medical student, she has been actively involved in multiple activities including serving as a coordinator for the student clinic, a volunteer for the street health project, and as a facilitator for the clinical skills course for preclinical students. In recognition of her outstanding performance, Merete was inducted into the AOA Honor Society.  In her free time, Merete enjoys knitting, embroidery, and the study of classical civilizations.
