About

Michael is originally from a small town in Maryland and worked in landscaping and waiting tables before becoming the first in his family to attend medical school.  Michael graduated from the University of Maryland, and then obtained a Master of Science in Medical Science at Drexel.  While obtaining his Masters’ degree, he worked as a research assistant with a project studying factors associated with traumatic brain injuries. He then stayed at Drexel for medical school where has been an outstanding student, serving as a student mentor. In recognition of his outstanding academic performance, Michael was inducted into the AOA Honor Society.  In addition to his excellent performance as a medical student, Michael helped to run the “oldies but goodies” and “laughs at lunch” interest groups.  Michael will be joining his fiancé, Victoria, who is currently an EM rising PGY-2 at UNC along with their bulldog Angus.  As a former football and lacrosse player, Michael enjoys sports including Football and college basketball, bartending, grilling, beer and whiskey in addition to gardening.
