Sam Short, MD
About
Sam graduated from Amherst College with degrees in Music and Neuroscience. After college, he worked for two years as a research assistant at the Brigham and Women’s hospital with the division of Nephrology. Sam has been incredibly involved in service and research as a medical student, working with a national consortium for COVID treatment and evaluating the risk of AKI in patients on checkpoint inhibitors, examining the reasons for geographic and racial differences in a cohort of patients with strokes, and serving as a student leader and volunteer with a local juvenile detention center. In addition to music and playing Bass, Sam enjoys playing catch with his cat (while dreaming of having a dog)!
