About

Simon grew up in California and attended Duke for college where he majored in cellular and molecular biology. After college, Simon worked for a year as a research assistant with Element Genomics in Durham utilizing CRISPR technology. As a medical student, Simon has done not only outstanding research in the field of Dermatology but has also dedicated himself to multiple service obligations with the Animal Protection Society of Durham.  He has also been actively involved in the AMSA and the AAMC.  In his free time, Simon enjoys power lifting and competitions as well as coffee brewing and roasting and hosting culinary parties.
