Wesley was born in Pittsburgh, PA but was raised in the small town of Climax, NC. He completed his undergraduate studies at North Carolina State University with a major in biology. Prior to attending medical school at UNC, Wesley enjoyed working with patients as a CNA, medical scribe, and as a volunteer to serve the underserved in his community. Wesley was able to continue this service into medical school, and pursued new interests including his research in infectious disease with a primary focus on hepatitis. Wesley enjoys traveling, hockey, spending time with friends, and staying active.
