Brief summary:  Macrophages have diverse functions in immunity as well as in homeostasis, yet their functions during organ development remain largely undefined. Our work employs high-resolution whole-mount imaging and genetic tools to determine how embryonic tissue-resident macrophages influence neuronal and vascular development at single-cell resolution.
