Congratulations to Sandra Stangeland-Molo, a second-year Ph.D. student in Biomedical Engineering (BME), NCSU/UNC, who received her Bachelor of Science in Engineering (B.S.E.) from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, currently in Dr. Cole’s Lab, for making BBA history as a Ph.D. candidate at UNC/NCSU Joint Department of BME.
As a member of the BBA, Sandra is doing meaningful research and impactful STEM outreach and is making essential professional advancements. Her work focuses on scaffold designs to promote bone cell growth and osteovascular health for stroke survivors. She is passionate about K-12 STEM outreach and is providing fun, hands-on student experiences.
