Congratulations to Sandra Stangeland-Molo, Ph.D. student in Biomedical Engineering (BME), NCSU/UNC, who received her Bachelor of Science in Engineering (B.S.E.) from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, currently in Dr. Cole’s Lab, for recently receiving a Ruth L. Kirschstein NRSA individual predoctoral fellowship (Parent F31) from NIH’s Research Training and Career Development.
The fellowship is sponsored by Jacqueline H. Cole, Ph.D., Assistant Professor, Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering, UNC-Chapel Hill and NC State University, and co-sponsored by Michael Daniele, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Electrical and Computer, Engineering & Biomedical Engineering, and Victoria L. Bautch, Ph.D., Beverly Long Chapin Distinguished Professor of Biology; Co-Director, UNC McAllister Heart Institute. Sandra’s project, titled “Developing a Novel Vascularized Bone Microdevice for Investigating the Post-Stroke Bone Microenvironment”, will begin on July 1, 2022.
