Inhwan is a first-year graduate student in the UNC Biological and Biomedical Sciences Program (BBSP). Originally from Suwon, South Korea, he is interested in understanding the relationship between the gut microbiota and intestinal immunity. During his rotation, Inhwan is focusing on developing a mucus model to investigate how prebiotics influence the intestinal mucosal barrier.
