Leslie has been managing the day-to-day operation of the MLI Tissue Procurement and Cell Culture Core Facility since 2001. She works with the Marsico Lung Institute (MLI) UNC Cystic Fibrosis Center (CF Center) P.I.’s, to establish and modify protocols and procedures, oversees and maintain quality control of cell isolation and culture procedures from human specimens, assists in the design and performance of cell culture experiments, and helps new clients and Core staff on effective and accurate utilization of materials supplied by the Core. Additionally, she oversees the Recharge Services Center.
