An article from Tim Gershon’s lab is featured on the cover of this month’s issue of Development. The accompanying paper by first author Patrick Lang, a graduate student in the Gershon lab, shows that the DNA repair protein ATR is required for both cerebellar development and medulloblastoma. The authors demonstrate the use of a brain-permeant, nano-particle formulated ATR inhibitor that they propose to test as a novel chemotherapy agent.
