Faculty and residents from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine – Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, attended and presented at the 39th Annual William Droegemueller Departmental Research Day on May 8th, 2024.
The School of Medicine had six resident speakers present inside Kenan Center at Kenan-Flagler Business School:

Dr. Janine Baldino is out of the country and will be presenting her work next year at Resident Research Day.
The Keynote Speaker for this year’s event was Judette Louis, MD, MPH. Dr. Louis is the James M. Ingram Professor and Chair for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at University of South Florida. She is a specialist in Maternal Fetal Medicine and a past President for the Society for Maternal Fetal Medicine. Dr. Louis has a joint faculty appointment in both the College of Public Health and the College of Medicine at USF. Her research in obstructive sleep apnea in pregnant women led to a career focused on maternal morbidity and mortality
