Dr. Caroline Kwon

The Department of ObGyn  is proud to announce the achievements of two outstanding fellows in the division of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS). Second-year fellow Caroline Kwon, MD, has been recognized by the Jerome Hoffman, MD Foundation of the AAGL Signature Award for the best abstract on MIGS submitted by a physician in training in 2024. Recent fellow graduate and newly appointed faculty member Gina Silverstein, MD, is recognized for the IRCAD Foundation of the AAGL Signature Award for the best abstract on MIGS research submitted by a FMIGS Fellow.

The American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL) is the leading association promoting minimally invasive gynecologic surgery among surgeons worldwide. Both awards will be presented at the AAGL’s “Celebrating Achievements in MIGS” Awards Ceremony & Gala on November 18, 2024, at The Fillmore in New Orleans, Louisiana.

“These are two of the highest awards that fellows can receive. We’re incredibly proud of our team and excited to celebrate their accomplishments,” said Erin Carey, MD, MSCR, Division Director of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS).
