Daniel Clarke-Pearson, MD, FACOG, FACS, emeritus professor of obstetrics and gynecology and former department chair, has been elected president of the Society of Pelvic Surgeons. The Society’s membership is unique in that it includes surgeons from the specialties of gynecology, urology, and colorectal surgery—each with expertise in pelvic surgery. Dr. Clarke-Pearson reflects, ‘The exchange of ideas, surgical techniques, and strategies across these specialties makes the Society particularly distinctive.’
