The UNC OB-GYN Division of Gynecologic Oncology once again had an impressive presence at the Mid-Atlantic Gynecologic Oncology Meeting (MAGOS) in October 2019, with 14 presentations and three awards: Best Fellow Oral Presentation, Best Overall Poster, Best Medical Student Oral Presentation.
Gabrielle M Hawkins, MD, won the Best Oral Presentation by a Gynecologic Oncology Fellow with her presentation, “Impact of obesity on the uterine and gut microbiome in postmenopausal mice with and without endometrial cancer” as well as Best Overall Poster Presentation with “ONC201 has anti-tumorigenic activity in obesity-driven epithelial ovarian cancer.”
Yingao Zhang, MS, won Best Oral Presentation by a Medical Student with “Survival impact of neoadjuvant and adjuvant chemotherapy cycles stratified by interval debulking surgical approach in advanced epithelial ovarian cancer.”
