“Cancer Care in Patients with Severe Mental Illness”
BIO:
Erica Hatch is a current Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry Fellow at the University of North Carolina Hospital at Chapel Hill. She grew up in Wilmington, Delaware then completed her undergraduate studies in French Literature at Cornell University. After graduating, teaching abroad, shifting career goals entirely and completing pre-medical coursework independently, she attended medical school at Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA then came south for Psychiatry residency at UNC. She enjoys the interplay between medical illness and psychiatric conditions. She has particular interests in burn psychiatry, psychotic disorders and interventional psychiatry. Outside of work, she can be found playing with her adorable golden retriever (pandemic puppy), baking French desserts and working on creative projects.
