Presenter:  Gary Winzelberg, MD

Title:  “Using the Carolina Communication Guide to Promote Effective Communication with Seriously Ill Patients”

Bio:  Gary Winzelberg, MD MPH is Director of the UNC Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship Program and Associate Director of the UNC Palliative Care Program.  Gary received his MD degree from Dartmouth Medical School, completed medicine residency at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, geriatric medicine fellowship at Harvard Medical School and the Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholars Program at the University of Washington.  He has attended games in 7 minor league baseball stadiums in North Carolina with the goal of visiting all ballparks in the state.
