Amy Levenson, MD, Associate Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Endocrinology, has been elected by the Academy of Educators to be their representative on the School of Medicine Education Committee. The UNC School of Medicine Education Committee develops and maintains the governance structure for the entire medical school curriculum.
Founded in 2006, the Academy of Educators is designed to emphasize teaching and support faculty development both in Chapel Hill and across the state. Beginning with only faculty members, the program now includes trainees in our mission to promote peer-to-peer leadership and teaching. The Academy of Educators has grown to over 400 faculty and resident members. Faculty and residents represent a diverse population of educators in various specialties.
