Katie Jordan, MD, Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of General Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, Genny Taylor, MD, Assistant Professor in the Division of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine, and Arshiya Ahuja, MD, Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Hospital Pediatrics, were recently selected to receive grants to participate in the 2024 AAMC Early-Career Women Faculty Leadership Development Seminar. The grant provides program registration and travel expenses for the popular and highly interactive Early Career Women Faculty Leadership Development Seminar. This seminar provides women at the assistant professor level with foundational leadership knowledge and skills that will enable them to achieve their career goals, advance, and thrive as a successful leader in academic medicine and science. The seminar will present a foundation for modeling leadership behavior, and participants will learn critical skills and strategies to assist them as they prepare for academic promotion/advancement and to identify and take advantage of leadership opportunities.
