Christopher Atkins, MD, MS

Dr. Atkins joined the Department of Pediatrics as an Assistant Professor in the division of Pediatric Cardiology on August 11, 2025. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 2011 at Vanderbilt University, a Master’s in medical sciences at University of South Florida in 2012, and earned is medical degree in 2028 at the University of Central Florida. Dr. Atkins completed his pediatric residency at UNC-Chapel Hill in 2022, remaining for a year as Chief Resident. He completed his fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology at Duke University Children’s Hospital in June 2025. Welcome Chris!
