Dr. Williams joined the Department of Pediatrics as an Assistant Professor on August 1, 2025. She began her education at the August Cieszkowski Agricultural University in Poznan, Poland with a degree in Food Technology and Human Nutrition. She earned her medical degree at the Nicolaus Copernicus University, Ludwik Rydygier Collegium Medicum in Bydgoszcz, Poland in 2014. She completed her residency in Pediatrics at Connecticut Children’s in Hartford, CT in 2022 and joined us in Chapel Hill for her Medical Genetics Residency, graduating in 2024. She went on to complete a fellowship in Medical Biochemical Genetics at Duke University, graduating in 2025. Congratulations Monika!
