Members of the Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics Division, Carolina Institute for Developmental Disabilities (CIDD), and TEACCH at the 27th annual Triangle Run/Walk for Autism event in downtown Raleigh!

On Saturday, October 11th, the Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics Division joined colleagues from the Carolina Institute for Developmental Disabilities (CIDD) and TEACCH at the 27th annual Triangle Run/Walk for Autism, hosted by the Autism Society of North Carolina (ASNC) at Halifax Mall in downtown Raleigh. This family-friendly event featured a 5K run/walk, a one-mile fun run, music, a children’s play area, and a vibrant vendor fair—all designed to foster community, raise awareness, and support individuals with autism and their families.

The UNC team had 16 participants and raised $930 to benefit autism services and advocacy programs. These funds help provide critical resources for local programs and services offered by ASNC. With more than 2,500 participants at this year’s event, the Triangle Run/Walk is a powerful way to build community and promote inclusion. Thank you to everyone who contributed their time, energy, and generosity to make this event a success.
