The Medical Staff Physician Excellence Committee (MSPEC) announced Afsaneh Pirzadeh, MD, Associate Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Critical Care Medicine as a recipient of the annual Medical Staff Physician Excellence Committee (MSPEC) Award for Physician Excellence in Clinical Care.
This prestigious award celebrates UNC clinical physicians who exemplify excellence in patient care through exceptional clinical skill, compassion and humanism toward patients and families, collaboration with colleagues, and strong advocacy. Dr. Pirzadeh was recognized at the February Medical Staff Executive Committee meeting as well as at a recent pediatrics grand rounds.
