On Saturday, October 11th, the Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics Division joined colleagues from the CIDD and TEACCH at the 27th annual Triangle Run/Walk for Autism in Raleigh.

Welcome New Provider: Jaimi McDonough, PhD
Jaimi McDonough joined the Division of Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics on June 2, 2025 as an Assistant Professor. Dr. McDonough received her BA in Psychology and Sociology from Clemson University in 2008 and earned her PhD in School Psychology from the University of Georgia in 2015. She has previously worked as a Senior Psychologist at Central Regional Hospital in Butner, NC as well as Clinical Director of Applied Behavior Analysis at New Leaf Therapeutic Services in Fayetteville, NC. Welcome Jaimi!

Bobo, Burbank, Duncan and Patel Receive 2025 Junior Faculty Development Awards
Several pediatrics faculty were recently selected to receive UNC-Chapel Hill Junior Faculty Development Awards for 2025. The Junior Faculty Development Awards are funded by IBM and R. J. Reynolds Industries, Inc. This award grants $10,000 to support scholarly pursuits over one calendar year.

Welcome New Physician Faculty: Rohan Patel, MD
Rohan Patel joined the Division of General Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine as an Assistant Professor on September 1, 2022. In 2016, Dr. Patel earned a medical degree from the Saint George School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. Dr. Patel completed a Pediatric Residency at the Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia in 2019 and a Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics Fellowship at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus Ohio in 2022.
