About
Dr. Alfred is a fellow in the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Fellowship Program.
Why UNC: As a resident who trained at UNC, I am grateful for the culture of learning, collaboration, and compassion which I experienced on a day to day basis. My mentors here have been role models in clinical excellence and shown me how to provide high quality care and serve my patients within their communities. The support I have had in growing my scholarly work and my individualized career really speak to how UNC invests in it’s trainees and has given me the tools I need to be successful in my future career. Additionally, the opportunities UNC provides for collaboration in research, within the various departments of pediatrics, and even beyond the school of medicine are exciting to me.
My hobbies include cooking and baking, playing board games, yoga, ballet, walking trails, and enjoying good coffee and music.
