Dr. Abajas is a physician specializing in the field of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology.

Dr. Abajas is a pediatric hematologist and oncologist with interests in bleeding and clotting disorders, such as hemophilia B. Her research uses mouse models developed at UNC to study:

  • The immune response that occurs in patients with hemophilia B in order to better understand the pathophysiology behind inhibitor development.
