Curriculum & Learning Objectives
Empowering Healthcare Workers With Tools To Thrive
Healthcare workers spend a significant amount of time and energy caring for others. As a result, they are typically overworked, overwhelmed, and too fatigued to care for themselves after spending energy on caring for others. Micro-practices of mindfulness and gentle movement can aid in assisting healthcare workers in feeling less burned out and more empowered to care for themselves and their patients.
We use practices that have been cited as strategies to cope with impending or current burnout, including mindfulness and yoga, as well as compassion-based practices reported by The Journal of Clinical Psychology, to decrease depression, stress, and burnout and increase compassion for self and others, mindfulness, and job satisfaction among healthcare workers.
During this course, participants will learn accessible, easy-to-implement, and research-backed yoga, mindfulness, and compassion-based interventions that have increased reported well-being and improved professional and personal interactions.
*This course is eligible for Continuing Education Units (CEU)
Upon completing our 11 weekends, you will be eligible for the 200-hour level of registration (RYT) with Yoga Alliance if you choose to become a teacher.
However, the curriculum, group experience, and integrative approach of our training will provide you with more than a certificate to teach – it will provide an opportunity for personal growth, reflection, and new skills to share with others.
Is This Training Right For You?
Our teacher training program is for those who wish to foster greater awareness and ease in their own body, become their self-care expert by cultivating a sustainable yoga practice, and explore how combined with mindfulness and compassion, this can contribute to a more balanced and integrated life. Graduates of the Lead With Compassion Yoga Teacher Training program are prepared to teach balanced, safe & transformative yoga classes and practices to the populations that they serve.
