It has been an exciting and busy time at the Center. We collaborated with our friends and colleagues at the Foundation of Hope for Research and Treatment of Mental Illness for “Pasta with Purpose,” a fundraiser sponsored by the Carolina Club. We hosted our third annual No Limits Gala in November and the opening exhibition and reception for the Brushes with Life Arts Program in September, both of which were great successes. You can read more details in this combined issue of our newsletter.

It is a pleasure to welcome Tracey Himmel and Manmohan Sihra to the Center’s advisory board, and I look forward to working with them.

Our new Dartmouth-modeled IPS Supported Employment technical assistance program is now operational. Directed by Matthew Diehl, MSW, in our Institute for Best Practices, four trainers/managers will provide evidence-based training to area programs around the state: Penny Liles, MS, CRC, CESP, LPCA; Martha Sanabanda, MS, LPCA and CESP; Sam Young, PsyD; and Ariel Reynolds, MSW.

As the holidays approach, I am grateful for the generous support of our staff, advisory board and the community.

With best wishes for the Holiday Season,

John Gilmore, MD
