It has been an exciting and busy time at the Center this spring. We continue to grow, and we are finalizing our five-year strategic plan.

In this spring issue, you will read about a number of our accomplishments, including our recent affiliation agreement with Meridian Behavioral Health Services in Sylva. The UNC ACT Team that serves Orange and Chatham counties is starting a pilot Step Down program that will transition some of our ACT patients to a lower intensity program. Our CTI program has received state funding to continue its services and to serve more individuals who are at risk for homelessness.

We welcome Erica Arrington, MD, who joined us in March as director of the STEP Clinic at Carr Mill.

We’re making plans for our second annual No Limits fundraising event; well-known author and mental health advocate Pete Earley will be the featured speaker. Mark your calendar for November 12.

Thank you for all of your continued support.
