The Center’s  Community Psychiatrists’ Leadership Video Conference Series program will feature Carrie L. Brown, MD, MPH, chief medical officer for Behavioral Health & IDD, at  NC Department of Health and Human Services.

The October 8 event, specifically designed for community psychiatrists, is the first in a series to update community psychiatrists and other physicians working in behavioral health about the State’s Medicaid Transformation and to provide information and  discussions on other important topics. Psychiatry residents around the State are also invited to participate/. This event is a collaboration with NC AHEC.

John Gilmore, MD, director of the NC Community Psychiatrists’ Network, vice chair of Research  and Scientific Affairs at UNC Psychiatry and director of the UNC Center for Excellence in Community Mental Health will host the video conference.
