Cuddeback receives Office of the Provost Engaged Scholarship Award
Gary Cuddeback, PhD, MSW, MPH, director of the Center’s Community Outcomes Research and Evaluation Center, also associate professor in the UNC School of Social Work and adjunct professor in psychiatry, received a 2017 Office of the Provost Engaged Scholarship Award for engaged scholarship in service to the state of North Carolina.
Center employees receive awards at the Psychiatry Department’s annual recognition ceremony
Janice Linn, executive assistant, for John Gilmore, MD, received a 15-year state service award at the department’s annual recognition ceremony on June 7 in the Kirkland Auditorium in the UNC School of Dentistry. Charles Thayer, computer analyst, and other members of the Department’s Computer Support Group, Greg Beasley, Carlos Bedford, Joseph Blocher, Ali Karkouki, and Jeremy Simpson, received the Catherine A. Taylor Award.
NAMI Walk is great success
While the day was cold and damp, a few brave Center staff and “Toby” represented the Center at the NAMI Walks on May 6, 2017 at the Dorothea Dix Park in Raleigh. Thanks to Debbie Lawson for her leadership role in getting everyone organized and to those who contributed to help us reach our goal of $1,000!
Evette Clement receives an Employee Forum Peer Recognition award.
Evette Clement, RN, a nurse on the Wake ACT team, received an Employee Forum Peer Recognition Award for in June. Competition was strong as there were approximately 200 individuals nominated. Recipients receive a $35 addition to their paycheck and are honored at a banquet.
Fourth Annual No Limits Gala features Francis Greenburger
Mark your calendar for Nov. 2, 2017. Francis Greenburger, successful real estate developer, author, and mental health advocate, will be the featured speaker at the Center’s Fourth Annual No Limits Gala at the George Watts Hill Alumni Center from 6-9:00 p.m.
