Arthur J. Matas, MD is Professor of Surgery and Director of the Renal Transplant Program at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis. Currently, Dr. Matas is the principal investigator on three NIH grants concerning ways to improve outcomes for transplantation patients. Visiting Professor: Nathaniel J Soper, MD, Loyal and Edith Davis Professor of Surgery, Northwestern University

Dr. Nathaniel Soper's research interests have revolved around the applications of minimally invasive surgery for gastrointestinal disease, laparoscopic ultrasound, alternative treatments for gallstones and motility of the gastrointestinal tract. More recently he has been involved in the early clinical experience with Per Oral Endoscopic Myotomy (POEM) surgery.
