Christopher Dekaney PhD awarded R01 Grant

The National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases has awarded a 5 year R01 Grant to Christopher Dekaney, PhD, in the Division of Pediatric Surgery, for his project investigating ” Mechanisms and Function of Paneth Cell Expansion After Doxorubicin-Induced Damage” The project begins April 2014. Dr. Timothy Weiner featured in Department of Defense newspaper “Stars and Stripes”

Navy Reserve Commander Timothy Weiner was recently featured in the Department of Defense’s military newspaper “Stars and Stripes.” Weiner, who is based in Forward Operating Base Lagman Afghanistan, recently operated on three Afghan youth who were injured by Taliban bombs. Apart from handling the youths’ physical ailments, Weiner and his colleagues work on a personal level by providing toys to the children.
