The Division of Pediatric Surgery in the Department of Surgery at UNC provides the highest level of clinical patient care through UNC Children’s Hospital, as well as other affiliated Hospitals. Our Division cares for pediatric patients from infants through teenagers with multiple injuries and diseases. We perform a breadth of pediatric general surgical
procedures. In addition, our highly trained surgeons are experts in their fields focusing on rare diseases and utilizing state-of-the-art techniques so as to provide patients the best possible care. We keep in mind that our patients are young and we want to do everything we can to get them out of the hospital and back outside during their most important developmental years. Our patient families are under tremendous stress and hardship during this time and we understand this.
