On May 2, 2024, the UNC Johnston County Health Study clinical site finished active enrollment, wrapping up more than 30 years of community-based research.
The study co-PIs, Amanda Nelson and Yvonne Golightly, shared the following message in their announcement; “This marks a transition rather than an ending, as we have several decades of data to analyze and will be exploring new options for future studies in Johnston County. We are grateful to our wonderful team (both current and past) for their hard work and dedication, as well as our long-term participants for their engagement in the research process. None of this would have been possible without you!”
