UNC CCCR Speaker Series: Dr. Linda Li; “Rethinking Physical Activity Promotion in a 24-hour Day of People with Arthritis”
October 6, 2021 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am
“Rethinking Physical Activity Promotion in a 24-hour Day of People with Arthritis”
Description of Presentation: Maintaining an active lifestyle is a core component of self-care in people with arthritis, but for some, introducing physical activity in their daily lives is not a simple process. We all have 24 hours in our day and what we each do with that time can differ. This presentation will explore the idea of shifting the approach of physical activity counselling from focusing on concrete physical activity targets (e.g., achieving 150 mins/week of moderate/vigorous physical activity) to a balance of activity, rest, and sleep in a 24-day.
